Even if this website is your introduction to Peter Kempson’s paintings, chances are you’ve seen his work... on television. In his career as an advertising art director, he’s created scores of TV and print campaigns which have won numerous awards, including an Emmy.

Like the palm trees in his LAndscapes™, Kempson is a transplant to southern California, but when he embarked on a new calling as a painter, the place that adopted him became his muse. He lives in a yellow stucco house just off Mulholland Drive, with a view of the Hollywood sign.

Peter is pictured here, at the June 3, 2007 art show in Pacific Palisades–his very first show–where one of his paintings was purchased (appropriately enough) by a motion picture production designer.
